Asma Abdi

Asma Abdi is the Philanthropy Coordinator at the Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans (PANA). With over six years of experience in community work, Asma has been dedicated to advancing initiatives that support marginalized communities in San Diego. Her commitment to equitable development and housing justice has been instrumental in the successful passage of tenant protections in the City of San Diego.

Asma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from San Diego City College.

In her current role, Asma is establishing a comprehensive philanthropy system at PANA. She leads efforts in managing grant requirements, coordinating project schedules, and producing impactful donor communications. Asma designs and implements strategies for donor engagement, oversees the preparation of custom reports, and ensures the seamless execution of fundraising initiatives.
